NBF BED SHOW TAKES OFF

The UK´s first ever show organised by the industry for the industry looks set to be a great success, with virtually every available stand now occupied.

The show, which is being organised by the UK bed industry trade association, the National Bed Federation (NBF), will take place from 28-29 September 2010 in Telford. Only members of the NBF will exhibiting but interest in the show has been phenomenal, with the vast majority of NBF manufacturer members signing up. Big names such as the Airsprung Group, Harrison Spinks Group, Hilding Anders UK, Hypnos, Millbrook, Relyon, Simmons Group, Sweet Dreams and ViSpring head a list of more than 50 exhibitors and over 60 brands.

The line up includes bedding component suppliers (which are also members of the NBF) of foams and fillings, springs and ticking materials as well as label printers and machinery suppliers.

It is an unprecedented line-up — and expected to be a must-see event for anyone involved in the UK bed industry. “ We really felt the time was right for a low cost exhibition which brought the leading brands together under one roof at a time of year when retailers are planning for the busiest sale period after Christmas,” said NBF vice president Simon Spinks. “The Bed Show is not just another show, it´s a unique event for everyone with an interest or involvement in the UK bed industry — bringing retailers, manufacturers and suppliers under one roof as never before.”

For visitors, attractions include free parking and discounted hotel rates.

As well as the two-day show, the NBF is also organising a Gala Dinner on 28 September as part of the event. To be hosted by well-known comedian Lee Hurst, the first ever Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to a manufacturer, a retailer and a component supplier.

The NBF Bed Show will take place at the Telford International Centre, in Telford, Shropshire - a modern, purpose-built exhibition centre in a central, Midlands location with easy access by road, rail or air.
