Bed Product of the Year

Winner

Harrison Spinks – Clover 3000 Wildwood mattress

Born from customer feedback, the single-sided Wildwood Clover 3000 makes Harrison Spinks’ natural comfort and spring expertise accessible to a much wider audience, delivering the qualities its consumers value most at a compelling sub-£1,000 price point. The lighter, simpler mattress has an individually responsive pocket spring system at its heart, with micro spring layers creating responsive support across the mattress. This is combined with Traceable British wool, BCI cotton, and homegrown hemp and flax.

With excellent ratings from its trial participants, the Clover 3000 proves that outstanding natural comfort, responsive support and British craftsmanship do not need to be unnecessarily complicated or inaccessible.

Finalists

Adjust-A-Bed – i-Motion adjustable bed with Premium Natural 3000 mattress

The combination brings together an in-house engineered exclusive adjustable platform and premium natural mattress, giving consumers greater choice, comfort and control over their sleep and retailers a product that is easy to demonstrate and understand. i-Motion technologies include dual massage, wireless control, zero-gravity positioning, integrated child locks and more. The mattress has 3000 pocket springs that provide responsive, individual support, complemented by natural fillings including wool, silk and cashmere.

Dura Beds – Grange House Natural Fusion Elevation 4000 mattress

As the flagship of Dura’s new Grange House Natural Fusion Collection, the mattress combines responsibly selected natural materials, advanced sleep technologies and considered British craftsmanship. Dura created the mattress to “redefine what consumers should expect from a premium mattress retailing for under £1,000 in a standard double size.” The mattress, which comes with premium POS, has a luxurious box-top construction, 4,000 individually pocketed springs and the richest blend of natural comfort materials in the range.

Component Product of the Year

Winner

Carpenter – Serene® Soft Foam

Carpenter won the Component Product of the Year award for its Serene Soft Foam. Crafted with billions of microscopic air capsules, the advanced comfort technology was developed to offer exceptional support and comfort without being temperature sensitive.

For the judges, the innovative Serene reflects the next generation of fillings as an improved evolution of memory foam. They praised it for being not only commercially sound but also having all the ecodesign principles in place, with an outstanding marketing package accompanying it.

Finalists

John Cotton Nonwovens – Memory Fibre Ultra – highly commended

The highly commended John Cotton Nonwovens’ innovative Memory Fibre Ultra was described as a “fantastic product with a great feel and fantastic potential.” Rather than conventional thermal bonding, John Cotton has developed a proprietary specialised needling process that creates structure, resilience and recovery without bi-component binder fibres or thermal processing, creating a sponge-like feel. The judges praised the product for being an improved needled nonwoven that, “given time, will develop into a market-scalable comfort and support product.”

Spinks – MicroCopper

MicroCopper represents a new generation of microcoil technology, combining advanced spring engineering with proven functional benefits of copper in a novel application for the bedding industry. By infusing hydrophilic nonwoven technology, already used in medical applications, with copper and integrating it into Spinks’ microcoil, Spinks has created the world’s first copper-infused microcoil fabric. The result is a microcoil designed not only to provide responsive comfort and support but also to contribute to a cleaner, more hygienic sleep environment.

The judges were Natalie Goodwin (Sealy UK), Hayley Hodgson (Silentnight), Dave Morris (Sleepeezee), and Ross Yeardley (Healthbeds)
